My painting draws people floating affluently in the speed of the city and its inside.
These townscapes are divided into two groups between the townscape without people (The City Tour) and the townscape with people (Flowing People).
Firstly began to draw the townscape (The City Tour) without people and tried to express the speed of the city with quick brush strokes
The stoppage contrasted to the speed (Alienated Ego) was me looking at the pictures and myself doing.
The relationship between I and the city had a lot of difference in speed like this and it was a subject that I can never go to the same step and the same speed.
The shapes of the paintings in “Flowing People” with people were the images of people flowing and floating who has inherent futile attributes.
The images are consumables of the city denying a deep relationship with each other, brushing past meaninglessly, and flowing without any expectation.
They are weak beings who lost their identity and were determined the direction of life by environment and placed in fixed frame of the city and flow.
In Flowing People, drawing the scene that I more actively intervening in the painting (City Environment) as opposed to The City Tour (the scene without people) the relationship between I and the images of the city is separated.
However, the image is also the image of the people floating who cannot settle anywhere in the city.
There is two ways of painting with acrylic on canvas.
One way is like spewing my desire to act by one brush on canvas,
Another way is putting paint into the syringe and pressing the syringe on canvas squeezing the desired color and line freely.
Like when a man is ejaculating to relieve the suppressed needs
My brush strokes and paints in the syringe may be constantly ejaculating to every corner of the city.
My painting starts in an effort to most closely express the emotions of the city at paintings and also there is the end.
This is an ongoing question for the relationship between the society and me as a painter.

The 1st private exhibition ? It’s been 2 months after the exhibition of the City Tour ? Flowing People.
Now the work is to draw the part of the city’s desire.
Desire of sunny spot and desire of shady spot all has been the subject of the paintings.
In desire of the shady spot, will be drawn the part of desire of sex in the absent part of The City Tour and Flowing People.
The part reluctant to reveal, I will draw the place and act of the city that may be the part repulsed.
There may be someone who nitpick the morality of the artist himself and someone who pinpoint incorrect perception about sex.
However, the sexual desire of the city that I want to expose is also a part of our lives and
Very precious spaces of potential of passion in life, through the desire we grieve, rejoice, and sigh.
In desire of the sunny spot, I will draw the acts and spaces that can be seen and understood easily in the surrounding area.
Even in the ordinary space and act, a piece of desire is surely potential.

I go to Seoul girls’ high school wearing a trench coat. (Perverted desire)
Desire in life is squirming and withering, and again wiggling and became still again.
The desire is exposed to the distorted image and it again reveals sometimes as sloppy reality and sometimes as disgusting images of imagination in my paintings.
Desire itself does not exist but constantly struggling as if it’s been existed
What’s the difference with “heading to the ground” “shoveling in the air” “sex with sex doll”.
Everyone lives like that…. Trench coat man and I are brothers.

Dwarf stems and richness of twigs are sometimes cumbersome and difficult in the old days
I just had to watch myself disbranched by people in the drinking parties and surrounding older acquaintances.
As the trunk of a tree is getting harder and thicker, the twigs covering me disbranches by itself and when it says proudly the growth ring as a medal, whether it is finally becoming the upright living tree of the city…
Today of all days I miss the day of richness clumsy and tender.

The Han River Series
The flowing river breathes fast.
The river like carelessness breathes hot deeply in hearts
While leaning against coolness, gently spits on the water.
Silence of the river at some time swallows the wiggling of the time blushing bright red…
The river is hugging all coming water color and consoling and consoling
Exposed silence hides one power between the boundaries of two worlds
Flows our time like their yesterday
